Xan and Joe's wedding was a dream NYE mix of organic and vintage. We have a history with the Weitzel Family since we planned Xan's sister Emily's wedding 2 years ago. Joe and Xan have been together since college where they met. The epic proposal took place in NYC at Andy Cohen's show "What What Happens Live", you can read more at Philadelphia Magazine who did a write up of the proposal and Xan's gorgeous custom engagement ring.
Xan and Joe's big day took place at the Ritz Carlton in Philadelphia. It was the perfect setting for their NYE party. MOB extraordinaire Jamie Weitzel had the best ideas and style to help her daughter's vision come to life! The 1st look was all set to go outside the hotel and then our principle planner Katie Robinson spotted a "Philadelphia resident" in a wheelchair that would be in the pictures. She sprung into action and like that everything was on pause and she pushed him around the corner so nothing would interrupt the romantic and touching moment Xan and Joe had, when they first saw each other. FOB extraordinaire Paul Weitzel went up to Katie and just gave her a big high five.
As the guests came down for the ceremony they entered a magical and romantic setting executed by Oleander Florals. The scene was set, candles lit, and guests all waiting for the grand entrance. Xan and Joe asked Ian, the brides brother in law (and our previous groom) , to perform the ceremony and it was so beautiful. After they were pronounced husband and wife, guests joined upstairs through the candlelit staircase for cocktail hour as all of the vendors went to work to flip the room from ceremony to reception. Their were gold glitter noise makers for place cards and mirrors decorated from a local calligrapher, with welcome messages and signature drinks.
We do see a lot of speeches throughout our years and we have to say Paul you said one of the best and heartfelt welcome speeches.Matter of fact, every speech from that night was truly significant and extremely emotional. The gold sequin linens from , topped with glass chargers & gold foiled menu cards, were perfect for New Years Eve. EBE Milan 77 rocked the house all night long and at the end of the reception the guests were wowed with a custom Donut Wall . Donuts were all provided by Federal Donuts with a custom gold glitter selection just for the couple. Xan and Joe enjoy Federal donuts every Sunday morning as a ritual. The wall was finished with an adorable sign that read, "I love you more than DONUTS"
To the Weitzel Family- Thank you for trusting us to execute both your daughters weddings and we can't wait for many more years of friendship! Your family is truly the best and we love you so much! XOXO
