Moshulu & Hilton at Penns Landing
Heather and Karandeep came to us as a referral from an awesome couple we had worked with a few months prior. We were so ready to take on this cultural challenge!
They wanted vivid traditional elements at their Mendhi, but wanted to tone down colors while keeping a dramatic effect for their reception space. We stretched our limits of a typical ballroom space for reception and it turned out absolutely stunning.
Karendeep and Heather’s cultural weekend took place between two states and three venues. In the Indian culture, a typical wedding celebration takes place over a few days. The start of this magnificent weekend was in the neighborhood known as Penn’s Landing in Philadelphia, PA. The couple decided to have their Mendhi take place on the Moshulu ship just a short stroll down from the Hilton Penn’s Landing where everyone was staying. Day 1 the couple had a morning ceremony at their temple and then back to the hotel for an elegant evening reception to celebrate the blending of 2 cultures. We provided Full Design, Décor and Floral execution for all three events.
With only five weeks to execute their traditional & cultural vision, we spared no time and quickly started transforming their visions into reality! From start to finish- this was no easy task in five weeks. But despite the obstacles of weather, venue policies changing and transporting the whole wedding party and all the guests, the couple was so happy, the bride even shed a tear or two. We had an amazing ending to a wonderful weekend of hard work, long hours and beautiful results! This event was truly a pleasure and a reflection of the whole team and our motto of being Down for Whatever!
